Ok so I decided to do a image for this project.
The reason I chose car accidents for this cancer awareness project was for a few reasons.

I have known people in the past who have had cancer and even though you know they are very sick it is still a huge shock to realize that they have really past away. When someone calls you and tells you your friend has died your first reaction is disbelief, "I just saw him yesturday"you think to yourself.

My stepmother of 25 years was told she had about 2 weeks to live in the end of march this year if she didnt seek immediate treatment. She was diagnosed with a form of luekemia. She had went to the doctor because she had a couple of strange bruises for no apparent reason. Thankfully after months of treatment and stemcell transplants she is currently cancer free and while she is still very weak from what she has been through it is very possible she may live for many years.

But to get to my point, in every situation the best way to describe how you feel when your loved ones are victims of this cancer is very similiar to the reaction you would have if you got a call saying your friend had been killed in an accident. It can be sudden and painful reminder of how fragile the human condition really is. And how little control over our lives that we truly have. The only thing I can say is do your best to enjoy the time you have here because you never really know when it will be over.

I think it is important for people to understand what families and victims of cancer are really going thru this is the best way I could describe it.

Your authors comments were very moving, cancer is like a car accident..no, a train wreck. I hope your stepmother is very lucky, I'm glad she's fighting and cancer free :) Thank you for the submission, good luck.

I actually considered using a train wreck however I feel that many more people have been affected by car accidents rather then train accidents.
:iconpullingcandy:
-nod- That makes sense, at least now-a-days. you don't hear too many stories about a train wreck, though the analogy stands 'It was like a train wreck'.

I am so pleased you made such detailed author's comments, it really lends a lot to the work to read about your experience and what it poses directly to what you've made.

Thank you again.

I commented about this theme in "Think Pink IV". Nobody knows the commotion and the blow that supposes a notice like this ... and you never know how strong you are until you have to fight.

I believe with your work and your commentary you've left clear good this, at least for whom we have passed for it.

I wish you and yours a very long-long and very happy life :iconsmile--plz::kiss::love:

Thank you for the kind words it helps to know other people understand how you feel sometimes. Cancer affects alot of people and its just not the ones who have it it is a painful experience for all of their loved ones also.
:iconsparky650:
Thanks for commenting I wondered if the image was a little bit graphic but from my personal point of view that is pretty much exactly how it affects me.
:iconanne-marie-angel:
